Keyboarding Online

April 2020 Quarterly Update

We have had a lot of feedback from teachers using Keyboarding Online for distance learning. The distance learning needs of teachers and student requirements have really grown! We have released a super cool review tool for scores on progress reports.

Keyboarding Online reporting always has been very robust. Previous reports showed scores and accuracy for each lesson/line. Now, if you click on a score in the student progress report you will have the option to: 1) View what was typed with their errors highlighted just like the student viewed at the end of their timing, and 2) Replay the timing to see it typed just as the student typed it. This means you can watch every character typed, error made/corrected (if allowed); just as if you were standing over the student’s shoulder as they typed–The replay timing feature might be especially helpful for those sleepless nights where you find it hard to go to sleep…you can watch typing videos over and over and over … 😉

We made a tutorial video of this feature in use: https://youtu.be/pDu0pZ9rGls. For the replay and display features to show, students must be using the new 2020 version of Keyboarding Online software. Score replays have been saving since 4/23/20, no score replays will exist for scores recorded before this time.

New online store for adult students

We have just rolled out a new streamlined online store for students purchasing access codes. The codes purchased online are emailed instantly and codes are more easily viewed in their store account if they cannot find their code. A short video of this checkout process has been made for your students: https://youtu.be/gclGjHx_qMg

New Asteroid typing game

Our newest game has been released (also only found in the new 2020 student version).

More student rostering options

Keyboarding Online now supports: Clever Secure Sync, Clever Classroom, Classlink, GG4L, Google Classroom, and Office 365. Please let us know if there is another rostering option your school would like to use.

We appreciate your continued support of the Keyboarding Online platform. Everything is developed, maintained, and supported in-house with our own development team. Because of this you get top notch support; more than you are likely accustomed to, and dynamic and constantly improving software. We know you have options, just not better options. Thank you for choosing Keyboarding Online. Stay safe and stay healthy!
